THE PLOUGH at Stalisfield Green is a real country pub serving real pub food and a wide range of local drinks including Kentish beer, cider, wine & juices. We're not too fond of the term gastro-pub, preferring to do things the traditional country pub way; finding great ingredients locally and building our food and drink offering around these. Our food is made using locally sourced ingredients and THE PLOUGH maintains strong links with the local farming community, championing the exquisite produce available right on our doorstep. The menu changes frequently to reflect the vast array of produce available to us throughout the changing seasons.
Nestled at the top of the North Downs in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty, THE PLOUGH is conveniently located centrally between Faversham, Ashford and Maidstone. A beautiful example of a Wealdon hall house, THE PLOUGH was built some time between 1350 and 1450 and has been serving fine country food and local drinks for hundreds of years; and who are we to mess with this fine country tradition?
